I told you, an outing is never complete without yummy goodies in tow, or am I just a food maniac *in deep thought*.
Betsy's Cake Center is one of the oldest establishments in Malabon City, the family that owns this bakeshop and restaurant is also a part owner of the Goldilocks (Bakeshop and Foodshop) empire, whom we'll keep anonymous as requested.
They have a wide range of cakes and pastries but it is locally known for it's broas, Quezon Province's broas are like that of French biscuits but theirs is soft and has this citrus-y aroma. I don't know much about it's components but it sure is great-tasting, you can have a piece for 17php.
Another product that I love is their hamonado ensaymada, unlike that of the leading brand, this one is big in size and literally infused with strips of ham, for 27php one piece is enough to fill you up.
Their cakes are also better in quality than that of commercialized cake centers, I think the price is a little bit higher but if you want something special, this is the place to go (if you're in the area *grins*).
Story behind this escapade: I asked hubby to take the route where Betsy's is located, which is in Rizal Avenue, to satisfy my sweet cravings for that day, we bought some broas, ensaymada and a lemon cake (not in photo), I wanted to buy some more pastries but hubby looked at me like I'm deranged or something so I stop at three *lol*. I'll go back one day soon... care to join me?
