Autumn's starting to bid farewell, after baring all the trees and painting this part of the world brown, it's taking a glorious bow and ushering in the colorful spring. Spring is my favorite season next to winter, when all the flowers are in full bloom, standing elegantly while sashaying in the wind, making love with the bees, teasing the butterflies and making me see that life is promising and beautiful.
One of the most awaited sight of the season, in my opinion, is the Snowdrop, a white flower with green dots on the tip of each petals, it stands majestically in the garden but when the wind blows and plays her favorite tune, she will dance gracefully all day to the wonderment of everyone, including me.
One of the fruits of the season, figuratively speaking, is the large-cup daffodil, it varies in size and length but the one on spotlight has white to yellowish outer petals and yellow cup or center flower. This beauty languidly laze around tantalizing everyone who passes by.
Juliet Capulet whispered these words to her beau Romeo Montague - "What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet." - from one of the literary works of the playwright Shakespeare. Let me rephrase that, "What's in a name? A flower that we can't seem to find the name still look as stunning as if we had" *grins* *wink*.
Aww, beauties as such doesn't need a name, they just need admirers. Don't you think so? It looks like they are regally waiting for the dew drops to kiss them.
Hanging serenely, hoping never to be bothered by anyone, or anything, for that matter. I'm secretly hoping that she didn't see me as a nuisance in her hearth.
A plum flower in full bloom, basking in the glorious rays of the sun while her armored knights surrounds her, ready to pounce on anyone who dare touch their little princess.
Have you seen anything so simple, yet, so picturesque? Veiled out of view by the setting of greens but its glinting speckles cannot be outshone, by whatever means.
I always marvel at how incredible this flower is, yes it is a flower, they have this brilliant plot - to camouflaged themselves as leaves, so that, no bees or butterflies can take away their innocence *wink*.
The golden blue-violet iris is strutting her queenly pose amidst the grass and boulders, weaving it's light of enchantment to anyone who eyed her.
These, and more, were the reasons why I love spring so much, their delicate splendor and enigmatic charm heal my, sometimes, wrought and tired soul. It feels like God is showing me, that there's more to the world than I can see, that I am created to wonder and wander at the same time, to think of greater possibilities and to admire more of these mortal beauties.
