Kibbutz Maabarot is my second home, I've been away for seven long years and it was a comfort to start life here, I found my heroes, my second mom, my trusted friends, my lovely acquaintances, good neighbors and a life to remember.
I used to see Kibbutz Maabarot as that place in Jim Carrey's blockbuster movie way back in the 90s, The Truman Show, and I felt like I was living his life and I meant that in a good way.
As much as I wanted to describe every details of this haven, I cannot, so I decided to have this photoblog to give each and everyone of you a view of what I see, dwell and live on. So here's a glimpse of Kibbutz Maabarot... day and night.
One of my favorite spot, a nice place to sit and bask in the morning sun or breath in the serenity of the night.
Soldiers in salute, witnesses of the day and protectors of the night.
A silent witness to the ups and downs of my Israel-based life.
The Arc of Maabarot, I feel like a princess running away with my valiant knight everytime I pass by.
I, fondly, refer to this place as the statue of three sisters, "Estatua de tres Hermanas".
The way of the world, imagine, if footprints are visible on this stone pavement... how many could there be?
I am enthralled at how lovely this house looks, tucked away in its solace.
Note: This is a two-part series photoblog.
